NDIS Speech Therapy for Adults in Melbourne
If you're an adult NDIS participant, Speech Pathology can be part of your plan.
I'm Laura Bricknell, a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, and I work with plan-managed and self-managed participants at home, in the community or via Telehealth, so therapy happens where you actually use your skills.
You'll see me every time. No handovers, no rotating staff.
How I can help.
Communication: being understood, understanding others, finding the right words, reading and writing.
Swallowing (dysphagia): safer, more comfortable eating and drinking, with clear mealtime recommendations. See swallowing assessment.
Cognitive-communication: when attention, memory or organisation affects conversations and daily tasks.
Neurodiversity-affirming social communication: friendships, misunderstandings, boundaries, self-advocacy and expressing emotions, on your terms.
Training for your supports: practical strategies and resources for family, carers and support workers.
Using your NDIS plan for Speech Therapy.
Speech pathology for adults is usually funded from the Capacity Building โ Improved Daily Living part of your plan. If you're not sure what's in your plan, your support coordinator or plan manager can check.
Plan-managed: I invoice your plan manager directly.
Self-managed: I invoice you, and you claim through the NDIS portal or app.
Fees: aligned with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Travel is charged in line with NDIS rules. You'll receive a service agreement before we start.
I currently work with plan-managed and self-managed participants.
Good reports make plan reassessments easier. After an assessment, I provide a written report within one week, with clear, jargon-free recommendations your support coordinator, plan manager and planner can use.
